  • Authentication

To verify your identity, CIBIL will send OTP or may ask more details to confirm whether it’s you or not. (For faster authentication, keep all account loans details to enter)

  • Fetch Report

After successful authentication, you can fetch your CIBIL score and Report from CIBIL.

A 'No-Hit' or No History on your CIBIL score simply means that you don't have a credit history on your credit bureau. This happens when you've never taken a loan from a bank or used a credit card before.

In general, CIBIL score/report is fetched from the official CIBIL website at a cost of INR 550.

  • Process

Once you submit your online complaint form, the credit bureau will verify the dispute by approaching the concerned bank. Kindly, note that credit bureaus cannot make changes in the credit report on their own.

  • Dispute resolving period

Generally, it takes around 30 days to resolve your dispute. As per laws, banks have to come up with a formal resolution for a dispute within 45 days of the dispute being raised. You will be notified about the result once it is resolved, through an email.


Here are some common status flags that can occur on an individual's credit report and what they mean:

If you notice a date adjacent to the 'Closed' field in your account section, this means that the loan account has been closed by the lender. In other terms, you have paid off your loan in full and the bank has reported this account to CIBIL as "Closed."


If you have partially paid the dues and settled a loan or credit card, then the status will be reflected on your credit report as "Settled."

Written off:

If you are unable to make payments against the outstanding balance of the loan / credit card for more than 180 days, then the lender is required to "write off" the balance in question. The lender then proceeds to report this as "Written off" to your CIBIL report.
